The Solutions of Telematics for Common Application Scenarios

Aiming at different application scenarios, telematics have different solutions:

Scene 1: the car is likely to suffer from an accident, but the regulator knows nothing about it and the driver deceives, causing the loss of fleet.

The regulator can grasp the real-time situation though cellphone or computer after installing intelligent fleet control box and intelligent fleet management system, including real-time location, live video, reproduction of scene before the accident and the cause.

Scene 2: when there is a traffic accident, both sides stick to their arguments so that the accident liability can not be settled.

DVR module can have the screenshot of driving conditions and accident, offering an evidence to reduce the repute.

Scene 3: when the driver is tired or in a dangerous manner, the driver and the regulator can not get the message in an instant.

FORD'S 'SYNC' DRIVING DATA TO PROVIDE INSURANCE DISCOUNTS

State Farm is expanding its Drive Safe and Save usage-based insurance program to include cars equipped with Ford's Sync  telematics system . Also known as "pay as you go," usage-based insurance programs look at how many miles drivers put on their cars and calculate premiums accordingly. Drivers willing to share how many miles they've traveled could get discounts between 10 and 40 percent in exchange for providing the insurer with a more accurate picture of their  driving patterns . Because Sync's Vehicle Health Report already keeps track of a car's mileage, Sync-equipped vehicles from model years after 2009 are ready to report verified odometer readings to State Farm to calculate possible premium discounts.
